A quietly gorgeous vintage Little Black Dress, probably dating to the early 1940s. The bodice is fitted with diagonal darting - it has cap sleeves and a simplified sweetheart neckline. Skirt silhouette is gently A-line with pleated draping at the left hip that cascades in a narrowing ruffle down to the hem. A self fabric loop at the top of the ruffle accommodates the 4" wide short sash that crisscrosses within the loop to form a soft bow, anchored with a single snap.
